This Darktrooper model was the first imperial droid unit of the darktrooper class, due to the Phase 0 Darktrooper being a cyborg.

It was programmed to hunt down jedi during the Great Jedi Purge and had multiple lightsaber combat skills put in its database so it could have the chance to kill a jedi if it bested on in a lightsaber duel. It was equipped with a metal shield that could block lightsaber attacks and a long, sharp sword attached to its left arm.
